The method for digging is by use of a walk behind trencher, hand digging, or in some cases, trenchless digging. Trenchless digging is a very popular method for digging gas relays, water relays and sewer replacements when accessible. Trenchless digging gives us the ability to trench under sidewalks, driveways, trees, landscaping and sprinkler systems without disturbing the surface. We open 2 to 3 foot pits at each end and trench or tunnel in between. These pits may vary depending on the job requirements. Eliminating concrete work, landscaping and time-consuming yard repairs make this method of digging a must if your project allows. A new valve box with isolation valve will be installed near the house and outdoor hydrant if requested. A city permit and inspection fee is required on all water relays.
