Slab Leak

Slab Leak Location, Static Sewer Testing, Isolation, and Potable Water Pressure Testing

Levy and Son has highly experienced skilled licensed professional plumbing crews equipped with video cameras, line tracking, listening devices, and sound magnification equipment plus other resources available for tracing and locating almost any type of piping beneath ground, concrete or other pavement to find slab leaks. Both sewer and potable water piping leak location can be performed on any type of building foundation. A static test is performed on the sewer system by plugging the building sewer, filling with water and monitoring the level. If any slab leaks are detected an isolation process is performed by use of camera, plugging sections of the system while monitoring levels. Pressure testing of your water supply system is performed by pressurizing the system with a gauge connected to system, cutting off supply and monitoring the gauge. If slab leaks are detected isolation is performed with water, compressed air, line tracing equipment and sound detection equipment.

These services are needed if continued stoppage problems occur beneath house. Clues include slab movement, high water bills, or you hear water running when nothing is on. Also, any time a foundation company is going to level a foundation, then a sewer static and pressure test should be performed both before and after foundation is lifted.
